Gua Sha Dry Brush

$32.00

A Gua Sha Brush is a specialised facial massage tool that combines the smooth, directional movements of traditional gua sha with the light surface stimulation of facial dry brushing.

Unlike a flat stone tool, the Gua Sha Brush features fine, flexible bristles with gently rounded tips and a comfortable, contoured grip. Swept lightly across the face and neck, it provides a soothing massage that may encourage the movement of superficial fluid, temporarily soften the appearance of facial puffiness and leave the skin looking refreshed and revitalised.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

How often should I use the Gua Sha Brush?
Begin by using it two or three times per week. If your skin remains comfortable, adjust the frequency to suit your routine. More brushing does not necessarily produce better results, and overuse may cause sensitivity or irritation.

Morning or evening?
Either is suitable. Morning use can be especially refreshing when your face looks puffy after waking, while evening use provides a relaxing end to the day.

Wet or dry skin?
Use on clean, completely dry skin before applying skincare products. Follow with a moisturiser, serum or facial oil.

Can I use facial oil with the Gua Sha Brush?
The brush is intended to be used dry. Apply your facial oil after brushing, when the removal of loose surface flakes may help it spread more smoothly and evenly.

How much pressure should I apply?
Featherlight. The lymphatic vessels near the skin's surface respond to very gentle movements, so pressing firmly is unnecessary. It should feel pleasant and soothing and never hurt, scratch or bruise.

Which direction should I move the brush?
On the face, from the centre outward toward the ears and temples. On the neck, gently downward from beneath the ears toward the collarbones. Use smooth, one-directional strokes.

Can the Gua Sha Brush reduce facial puffiness?
Gentle facial massage may help move superficial fluid and temporarily lessen the appearance of puffiness. Results vary and the effect is cosmetic and temporary. It is not intended to diagnose or treat persistent swelling, lymphedema or any medical condition.

Is it suitable for sensitive skin?
Begin cautiously with extremely light pressure and try a small area first. Stop if you experience lasting redness, swelling, stinging or irritation.

When should I avoid using it?
Do not use over broken, sunburned, infected, inflamed or irritated skin, active eczema or psoriasis flare-ups, painful acne, unexplained swelling, or areas that have recently had cosmetic procedures unless your practitioner approves. If you have a diagnosed lymphatic condition, have had lymph nodes removed, are receiving cancer treatment, take blood-thinning medication or have a circulation condition, seek advice from a qualified healthcare professional before use.

How do I clean the Gua Sha Brush?
Gently remove any skin residue, wash with mild soap and lukewarm water and allow to dry completely in a clean, well-ventilated place. Do not share your brush with another person.
